Can corporations cancel someone culture cant let go?

Conversation Description
In 2022, Kanye West lost major partnerships, faced widespread condemnation, and appeared to reach the limit of what fame could survive. Yet Kanye never fully disappeared. His music remained culturally significant, his influence persisted, and audiences continued paying attention. He is currently selling out stadiums with 50,000 to 100,000 people across the world. His story raises a larger question about how power actually works in culture. Institutions can withdraw money, access, platforms, and legitimacy, but can they determine who remains culturally relevant? And when someone's contribution becomes inseparable from our own memories, tastes, and identities, maybe cancellation isn't simply something institutions do to people. It may be a negotiation between creators, corporations, audiences and ourselves.
